The Four Offices
Minister of the Word
Art 3-21The minister is called to a life of study and proclamation. He is the voice that opens the Scriptures and the shepherd who leads the flock.
Preaching
Proclaim the Word purely and faithfully.
Sacraments
Administer Baptism and Communion according to Christ's institution.
Pastoral Care
Visit members, comfort the sick, admonish the wayward.
Governance
Maintain order and discipline together with the elders.
The Path to Admission
1. Study — 7 Years of theological training (Greek & Hebrew).
2. Examination — Preparatory (Classis) & Peremptory (Synod).
3. Calling — Elected and called by a local church council.
